| What is my username and password for the web pages? |
|
Each E-Mentoring participant was sent a username and password when they
joined the E-Mentoring program. If you have forgotten your username or
password, you can request that it be sent to you by
E-Mentor Central. Remember, your
username and password are case sensitive.
|
| How do I navigate through the web pages? |
Your web page options are located on your main group page once you log
onto the E-Mentoring system. Each of the options has an associated icon as
indicated on the main group page. In each web page, these icons can be
found in the tool bar on the top of the page. If you forget what an icon
is for, moving your cursor over the icon will display text indicating
option that icon is associated with. Furthermore, once you have logged
into the system, clicking on the E-Mentoring logo at the bottom of the page
will return you to your main group page and clicking at the large
E-Mentoring logo at the top of the page will return you to the E-Mentoring
home page.
|
| Why can't I bookmark my group page? |
Because the group pages are password-protected, you must re-enter your password each time you log onto the system. You can bookmark the main Connections page or E-Mentoring home page to shorten the process. |
| Why do I need to close all my browser windows when I'm through? |
Your web browser will remember your username and password while the browser
is running. You can log onto the E-Mentoring program, leave the E-Mentoring
pages, and then come back to the E-Mentoring pages without re-entering your
username and password, if you don't close all open browser windows. When
you are through with the E-Mentoring web pages, it is very important that
you close ALL of your browser windows to erase your username and password
from the web browser's memory. If you leave your web browser open when you
are finished, whoever sits at the computer after you will have access to
all of your group's archived mail and user profiles.
